The Minstrels are a Seattle-based duo specializing in traditional Irish folk music. Their sound features uilleann pipes, whistle, bodhrán, and vocals. David, also known as Piper Dave, began his piping career in college with Scottish competition piping, later transitioning to the uilleann pipes after moving to Seattle in 2017. Dominique started as a singer and discovered a passion for the bodhrán after meeting David. Together, they play in sessions around Seattle and frequently collaborate with other talented musicians for various performances. The duo has been performing together since 2023.
Joining them, Allan MacDonald, originally from Scotland, is a fiddler (and banjo player) based in Seattle. He teaches Irish/Scottish fiddle at Dusty Strings in Fremont and plays in local sessions.
